What are Snap Action Contact Devices?

Snap action contact devices are separated from low-action devices for their use of the snap action mechanism. The name is derived from how, the contacts instantaneously come at a specific position, irrespective of the speed or the operating force of the switch.

This function has a number of uses, especially in a high-pressured, industrial environment. As these contacts switch at a high-speed, it reduces the wearing of contacts, while also offering maximum reliability. They are also very effective in operation, with even a smaller version capable of breaking off large currents.

Our snap action silver wire contact comes with a technical specification of 230V = 10/~18VA, while the Double insulation snap action contact has a specification of 230V = 30W/~50VA. There is another snap action device (DI20) found as part of our mechanical electrical contact Dia 63mm range, which comes with the added safety and protection of double-layered insulation. The last one can also be found with different dial fitting.
